How Do I Take Care Of My Mattress?

Your mattress should be changed every 7-10 years, fortunately, CFRC has a vast range of new and reuse mattresses in a variety of sizes. In the meantime, here is some tips on keeping yours as fresh and clean as can be.

Use a mattress protector: A good quality mattress protector can help keep yours clean and protect it from spills. Because we’re all guilty of spilling a cup of tea in bed.

Rotate: Rotating your mattress every 3-6 months can help prevent uneven wear and tear and extend its lifespan.

Vacuum: Use a vacuum cleaner with an upholstery attachment to remove dust, dirt, and dead skin cells from your mattress.

Avoid jumping: Jumping on your bed (as fun as it may be) can damage the springs and reduce its overall support.

Air it out: Once every few months, remove all bedding and let your bed air out for a few hours to help reduce any odors and allow for better circulation.

Following this advise should prolong your mattresses life. If you decide to get a new one, please consider donating your old one to us. We will either collect it, sanitize it, and give it a new lease of life, or if its to worse for wear we will recycle it. This means no more mattresses in landfill!
