Yes, all soft furnishings including chairs, sofas, divans, mattresses and any item with foam padding or material MUST have a label confirming it is Fire Retardant.

For Health and Safety reasons we cannot accept any glass items that are broken, chipped or cracked.

Sorry but items donated to us must be in a reusable condition.

Our staff are not qualified tradesmen and we do not have the manpower to be able to provide this service.

No, we are happy to take items that are a little worn or tired provided they comply with Fire retardancy regulations and they are not ripped, torn or badly damaged.

Sorry but we cannot accept built in furniture. Our staff are not qualified to dismantle and transport them. If they cannot be removed from the room and out of your property without dismantling them, we cannot accept them.

Most probably that would be fine. It depends on the level of damage. Maybe email or send a picture through Facebook Messenger and we can advise

CFRC no longer accept donation of fridges or fridge freezers. If you have purchased a new Cooker or Washing Machine from CFRC we could arrange to collect your old one as scrap, provided this is arranged with us at the time. Please enquire.

Yes, we deliver Monday to Friday during our normal trading hours and this can be booked for you at the time of your purchase. Details on our delivery charges can be found here.

Our drivers collect (and deliver) furniture during our normal trading hours from Monday to Friday only.

No. CFRC will collect your reusable item FREE of charge.

Yes please, we even have a form on our website to help you with this. As a registered Scottish Charity, Gift Aid is hugely important in allowing us to provide this service.

We have collection containers for reusable items at the Household Waste Recycling Centre’s (HWRC) in Irvine, Largs & Kilbirnie which are accessible during their opening hours. If you place your item in the CFRC container, we will collect it from there. A link to each of the Local Authority HWRC site information can be found here:
